Gillette
I was tasked with designing and 3D modeling retail display units for Gillette to combat razor theft in stores. The design focused on enhancing product security while maintaining accessibility and visibility, ensuring a balance between theft prevention and a seamless shopping experience.
The Process
Research – This project required alot of research on locking mechanisms for retail stores Gillette shaving blades, as they are usually stolen in retail spaces due to their high prices, so I looked at advance locking mechanisms that could be incorporated in the aisle.
Concept Sketching – I sketched out possible design approaches, focusing on how the locking mechanisms would work.
3D Modelling – Using Cinema 4D, I created a detailed 3D model of the shelving how how the different locking mechanisms would be used.
