I was tasked with designing and modeling a Jameson Christmas tree for the retail sector in South Africa, aimed at showcasing the brand across bottle stores nationwide. The design needed to be visually striking, incorporating Jameson’s signature elements while ensuring practicality for in-store displays. The project focused on creating a unique, festive brand experience that would enhance visibility and engagement during the holiday season.
The Process
Research – I began by studying existing Christmas tree designs on the international market to gain insight into Pernod Ricard’s requirements.
Concept Sketching – I sketched out possible design approaches, focusing on how the tree could be constructed to hold 106 bottles within the given measurements.
3D Modelling – Using Cinema 4D, I created a detailed 3D model of the tree, applying textures to produce a realistic mock-up for client approval.
Graphic Design – I designed the graphic panel at the base of the tree in Adobe Illustrator, ensuring it complemented both the Christmas theme and Jameson’s brand identity.
Approval & Handover – Once Pernod Ricard approved the design, it was passed on to structural engineers for refinement and preparation for manufacturing.
